Berehynia (the guardian women) - one of the oldest and most revered symbols among the Slavs, its genetic roots reach back centuries. It is a symbol of life and fertility, a symbol of Mother Nature, the mother of all things, who gives life and protects our family hearth. Dressing their husbands and sons on difficult journeys, mothers, wives and loved ones gave them various amulets with the image of "Berehynia" as a keepsake, so that they would return alive to their native home.
